Further information:
Not only choosing the right tennis racket, but also the right stringing with the right tennis string is necessary to achieve optimal performance on the tennis court. Each tennis string has individual properties that can promote or counteract your playing style. A detailed analysis of the tennis string is therefore of immense importance in order to be able to exploit your full potential on the court.
The Topspin Cyber Flash is a tennis string made of the latest, structurally optimized PETP. The SoP system gives tennis players precise feedback on each individual stroke, making the string comfortable to play. The optimal energy transfer of the tennis string pays off with fast strokes, giving you not only optimal control, but also very good ball acceleration.
Due to these properties, the tennis string was not only awarded test winner by the tennis magazine in August 2006, but also bears the title "String of the year 2006" awarded by the Stringforum. Anyone who expects top performance from their tennis string cannot ignore the Topspin Cyber Flash.

Frequently Asked Questions
tennis strings
There are three main types of tennis strings: monofilament, multifilament and hybrid. Monofilament strings are made from a single thread, usually polyester or co-polyester, and offer high durability and control. Multifilament strings are made from several thin fibers and offer a better feel for the ball as well as more power and spin. Hybrid strings combine two different types of string to combine the benefits of control, power and spin.
Tennis strings can be made of natural gut or synthetic materials . Natural gut strings offer a unique feel, while synthetic strings such as polyester or co-polyester are more cost-effective and offer particularly high durability and control. Today, polyester tennis strings and co-polyester strings are the most common materials that provide spin, power and durability.
Tennis string diameters vary from 1.05mm to 1.45mm . Thinner strings offer more power and spin, but are less durable. Thicker strings offer more control and are more durable, but reduce power and spin. For beginners and recreational players, medium diameters (1.23mm to 1.27mm) offer a balanced mix of control, durability, power and comfort.
The tension of the strings has a big impact on your game. A lower tension (close to 20 kg) provides more power, comfort, touch and spin, as the ball is in contact with the string for longer. A higher tension (close to 30 kg), on the other hand, increases control and durability. For beginners and recreational players, a medium tension of around 24-25 kg is ideal to achieve an optimal balance between power, control and comfort.
The string pattern describes the arrangement of the strings in your racket. An open string pattern (eg 16 x 19) promotes more power and spin because the strings are further apart. A tighter string pattern (eg 18 x 20) provides more control and precision because the strings are closer together.
An open string pattern benefits from thinner strings (under 1.25 mm) as they increase power and spin, but at the expense of control and durability. With a tight string pattern, thicker strings (from 1.27 mm) are advantageous as they offer more control and increase durability.
Tennis strings influence six key playing characteristics: comfort , power , durability , control , touch and spin . Depending on the material and construction of a string, one of these characteristics is particularly pronounced. Modern multifilament and hybrid strings often combine several advantages so that you can achieve the optimal playing feel.
There are several signs that your tennis strings are worn out:
- Sound: If the sound changes when the ball hits the ball, this could be a sign of wear.
- Shifting: If the strings shift significantly or seem “loose,” this is an indication that they should be replaced.
- Thread wear: Deep cuts at the crossing points of the strings indicate that the strings have been heavily stressed and may soon break.
Even if the tennis strings are not broken, they lose their playing properties over time. They become softer, lose control and no longer absorb vibrations optimally. Changing your strings regularly ensures that you are always playing with strings that deliver their full performance and optimally support your game.
A simple rule of thumb is to change your tennis strings as often as you practice per week. For example, if you play three times a week, it is recommended that you change your strings at least three times a year. Tournament players and professionals restring their rackets even more often. If a string breaks, the racket should be restrung immediately.
