The felt is specially tailored to the surface, which is completely different to that of the stringed tennis racket, so that a full feeling is created at the moment of impact and thus has a positive effect on ball control.

There are special tennis balls for children with different degrees of hardness and colors:
- Stage 3 (red dot): Soft balls with a slower speed, ideal for beginners from 4 years.
- Stage 2 (orange dot): Medium hardness, suitable for children between 7 and 9 years.
- Stage 1 (green dot): Faster balls with higher bounce, recommended for ages 9 and up.
Children need tennis balls with an appropriate degree of hardness and bounce to enable age-appropriate and effective training. This allows them to learn technique and ball feel in a playful way and make faster progress.
No, pressure-reduced balls with different degrees of hardness are more suitable for children's training. Pressure-free balls can only be used from around 11 years of age, when the player moves to the large field.
